Beyond Access Sample

Financing

Financial aid, scholarships, and payment plans are among the few different ways that students can minimize the weight of paying the full program cost at the start of the enrollment.

Students may further inquire about applying unused financial aid to cover BA costs by contacting the UConn Office of Student Financial Aid Services at (860) 486-2819 or financialaid@uconn.edu.

Payment Plans

Information on payment plan options is available through the Office of the Bursar.  Students enrolled in Beyond Access may elect to use the program payment plan which offers 2-5 installments based on date of authorization (e.g. pre-semester enrollment offers a maximum 4-5 payments and mid-semester enrollment offers 2 payments).

Scholarships

Scholarships are available in the maximum amount of $3,000; to be awarded to UConn students who wish to participate in the Beyond Access Program and have a financial need. Scholarship award amounts will differ based on BA track selection and student need.

Eligibility

Applicants must be current University of Connecticut students and enrolled in at least six credits. These one-time scholarships are for participation in the Beyond Access program. Students from all campuses are encouraged to apply.

Please note, this scholarship may not cover the entire cost of Beyond Access, but can be used towards the full cost of participation.

  2. Scholarship recipients will be determined based on need as well as how they feel the Beyond Access program can benefit them.
  3. Once the request is received, the student’s enrollment will be verified and financial aid status will be reviewed. Financial aid status will have no bearing on the granting of an award but must be reviewed in advance to ensure that the receipt of this gift would not adversely affect the student’s aid package.

*If you are a need-based financial aid recipient (loans, grants, work-study student employment) your financial aid package may be revised as a result of this award. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 860-486-2819 to discuss this further.
