International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) raises awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, emphasizing that not all disabilities are visible. This year's theme, "United in Action to Rescue and Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) For, With and By Persons with Disabilities," calls for collective efforts to make SDGs a reality. At UConn, inclusion efforts are evident through the Center for Students with Disabilities and various academic programs and centers, including the Certificate of Interdisciplinary Disability Studies, the Center for Excellence in the Study of Developmental Disabilities, and the Collaborative on Postsecondary Education and Disability.
