Beyond Access Refund Policy

As a student enrolled in the Beyond Access program, you have signed a participation agreement which states the following: “Refunds may be granted on a prorated basis, up until the fourth week of classes, after which time, no refunds are granted for any reason.” Carefully review the refund schedule and policy on this page, then fill out the refund policy agreement form.

Refund Schedule

Careful planning goes into the development of resources for Beyond Access, which includes extensive training of the strategy instructors. As a result, whether or not a student participates in the program, the Center incurs a significant cost. Therefore, if a student chooses to withdraw from the program or determines that they must withdraw from the University after the first day of classes, and prior to the start of the fifth week of classes, the Center will offer refunds according to the following schedule:

At any point during the first calendar week of the semester 90%
At any point during the 2nd calendar week of the semester 60%
At any point during the 3rd or 4th calendar week of the semester 50%

No refunds will be offered after the conclusion of the 4th calendar week of the semester.

Refund Appeals

If you encounter a situation that warrants special consideration for a refund, you can appeal the decision. Submit, in writing, the details of your extenuating circumstances and why you were unable to terminate the agreement prior to the fourth week of classes. Submit any supporting documentation, which can include a letter from your treating medical professional or a staff/faculty member who can provide evidence to support your request. Appeals will be reviewed by a committee of Center for Students with Disabilities professional staff members. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified via email of the outcome. All decisions made by this committee are considered final. Appeals should be mailed or emailed to:
