Beyond Access Sample

Financing

Financial aid, scholarships, and payment plans are available to minimize the weight of paying the full Beyond Access program cost at the start of the enrollment.

Financial Aid

Students may inquire about applying unused financial aid to cover BA costs by contacting One Stop Student Services at (860) 486-1111 or onestop@uconn.edu.

Payment Plans

The Office of the Bursar offers interest-free monthly payment plans which apply to all UConn tuition and fees. Students already enrolled in a payment plan will have the Beyond Access fee automatically divided and incorporated into their monthly payments. Information on payment plan options is available through the Office of the Bursar.

Beyond Access also offers payment plans with up to five installments based on date of program enrollment. Students participating in a Beyond Access payment plan will receive monthly charges to the student fee bill. A Beyond Access payment plan only applies to Beyond Access program fees.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for current UConn students enrolled in classes to offset the costs of Beyond Access. Students may submit applications each semester.

The CSD Scholarship may be awarded in amounts of up to $500. Students must be in their first year and have a documented learning disability and/or ADHD to be eligible.

The Beyond Access Scholarship is awarded in varying amounts based on fund availability and student need but cannot exceed the maximum cost of participation for a student’s selected Beyond Access track. Students must have a documented disability and demonstrate financial need to be eligible.

The Beyond Access Hartford Scholarship is awarded in varying amounts based on fund availability. Undergraduate or nondegree students enrolled at the Hartford campus and participating in Beyond Access are eligible.

Note: If you are a need-based financial aid recipient (i.e., loans, grants, work-study employment), your financial aid package may be revised as a result of a scholarship award. Please contact One Stop Student Services at (860) 486-1111 or onestop@uconn.edu to discuss this further.

Scholarship Application Deadlines

Scholarship applications should be submitted at least one week in advance of the first day of the semester for full consideration. Applications received up until the end of the second week of the semester will be considered if additional funds are available.

Applications may be reviewed on a rolling basis following the final deadline if funds have not been exhausted. Please contact Allison Knight at csdbeyondaccess@uconn.edu to inquire about fund availability.

Please note that you must be a UConn student with a student ID number and UConn email address to complete this application.

Award Process

Evaluation of scholarship applications begins following the priority deadline.
